Dan’s outlook

There is no doubt that Kadarius Toney is talented, with the highest juke rate in the league at his position and 10.8 YPC it’s undeniable that the guy is as shifty as they come. While Toney had talent, he didn’t have much opportunity last season, ranking 88th in route participation. Toney didn’t get to see the field all that much, that was partially expected though. The Giants had stated that they wanted to ease him into the offense and that’s what they did, Toney did have some positives, ranking 7th in target rate last season, Toney saw the ball more than most WR1s when he was on the field. Looking into 2022 the offensive scheme in NEW JERSEY seemed to have improved, though with the addition of Wan’Dale Robinson as well as the plethora of starting tier wide receivers on the Giants, Toney’s production is capped, if he isn’t on the field he can’t get any points. Jones isn’t a top tier QB but they’ll have to throw often this season which increases his opportunity. Toney has the skill to breakout, if the Giants utilize him correctly he can become a low-end WR2

Rocky’s outlook

Dobbins after an amazing college career at Ohio State showed tantalizing glimpses of his talent during his rookie season with the ravens. Slated to breakout last season, Dobbins unfortunately tore his ACL in the preseason. He was an incredible runner before and it is hard to project how much the injury has affected his confidence and ability. Dobbins will still be in some sort of committee since the Ravens will not want to rush him back. Dobbins is currently being drafted around the RB22 which I feel is very close to his ceiling for this season.

Jacob’s outlook

Fields is entering his sophomore year as the Bear’s starting QB after a very forgettable yet promising rookie season. In the nine games he started last year, he had a 59% completion rate, one of the worst among starting QBs in the league, and only averaged 12.5 fantasy points per game. He did flash signs of greatness towards the second half of the season, however, putting up four top-10 finishes and ultimately ending the season as one of six rookie QBs since 2010 to average 35 rushing yards per game. Additionally, Field’s finished top-6 in both rushing attempts and yards at the position on the season, again, only starting in nine games. With that being said, many people fear him going into the 2022 season because of Chicago’s lack of offensive weapons. Besides Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet, there aren’t any other quality targets for Fields to throw to, making it difficult to determine his outlook. In my eyes, now that the Bears view him as a weekly starter, he will have a slight breakout due to his rushing ability,  regardless of the lack of offensive weapons.

Dan’s outlook

One of the most shocking offseason signings was easily Christian Kirk, a wide receiver yet to break into the top 25 in his career was signed to an 80 million dollar deal. The Jaguars are doing their…medium-ist to help Trevor Lawrence after a poor coaching staff derailed the 2021 season, but what does that mean for Kirk? Going from Kyler Murray to Trevor Lawrence is a large downgrade in accuracy, but it does mean a large uptick in targets. Averaging just under 100 targets a season since 2019, Kirk was already receiving a decent amount of looks, but now in Jacksonville he has the chance to eclipse 140 targets. Kirk’s YPC has never fallen below 10 in his career and with a possible 100 reception season he’d be a 1000 yard receiver. I see Kirk as having more of a fantasy breakout season than an actual one, spurred by garbage time and sheer opportunity.
