DRAFT DAY PHILOSOPHYS

Jacob’s Philosphy

It’s draft day! Here are some quick tips and tricks to come out of your draft feeling like you’ve just embarrassed your league mate. 1- Keep a balanced team regarding position (RB and WR) and volatility (risk of the player 2- If you draft a risky/boom or bust player (Mike Williams), follow that up with a safe/consistent WR (Brandon Cooks), or vice versa 3- I generally like to play it as safe as possible in the first three rounds, coming out with two elite RBs and one elite WR, Continue to add depth to the RB and WR positions in rounds 4-6 unless there is an elite TE (Kelce or Andrews) or elite QB (Josh Allen), Draft the Kicker and Defense positions last.

Rocky’s Philosphy

I always target players based on value instead of team need, for example if I am in the third round and have no running backs but a top receiver has fallen to me, I will always take the receiver due to the value. I see it as hurting your team more to settle on a worse fantasy player just because of team need. If you end up with 8 good WR and 2 solid RBs you can always trade for your position of need during the season.

Use your first three round picks to grab the safest players possible, these players will become your anchors for the season and allow you to be more risky in your middle round picks, players with high upside.
